This sake is characterized by its graceful aroma, blending the umami unique to Junmai with a clean, crisp finish, earning high acclaim. The palate is smooth and refreshing, free from any cloying aftertaste. Best enjoyed chilled or at room temperature, it serves perfectly as a table sake, especially alongside lightly flavored Japanese or Western cuisine.
Named after the solitary Niigata-born literati “Yaichi Aizu”, it was created to carry forward his legacy. Aizu Yaichi was known as a “man of beauty and romance,” devoted to researching and expressing the classical beauty of Japan that had gradually faded since the Meiji Restoration. He left behind the famous words: “Fukaku kono sei o aisu beshi” (“One should love this life deeply”).
This sake embodies that spirit, inspired by “beauty and romance,” making it an ideal choice to share with loved ones or to enjoy during meaningful moments.
