“Kanehachi Morinosasayaki” is a limited-edition creation jointly crafted with great care by six sake breweries in Oita Prefecture, using the original “Kanehachi” shochu matured for one year in carefully selected domestic oak barrels. The special use of Japanese Konara oak imparts a delicate amber hue and a warm, woody aroma unique to barrel aging.
This limited-edition barley shochu, named “Kanehachi Morinosasayaki,” is meticulously brewed by Yotsuya Shuzou in Usa City, Oita Prefecture. Speaking of Yotsuya Shuzou, their most iconic work is undoubtedly “Kanehachi.” For many shochu lovers, “Kanehachi” was the gateway to discovering the appeal of barley shochu, with its unforgettable, deeply roasted malt aroma at first sip.
The bottle design follows that of the “Kanehachi Genshu,” but here uses frosted glass with a green label, reflecting the deep green forests of Oita. The packaging is equally refined, featuring an outer box designed in green with a washi-like texture, creating an elegant and nature-inspired atmosphere.
