This sake has a round mouthfeel and a clear, beautiful flavor. Its aroma is fresh, and the taste is profound, sweet, and gentle, which slightly differs from Japan’s Dassai, showcasing the unique flavor of this new brand that is continuously growing and evolving. Please enjoy this unique taste that is only available at this moment.
Renowned both domestically in Japan and globally — Dassai. In 2023, Dassai established a new brewery in Hyde Park, New York. The American-made Japanese sake brand is called "DASSAI BLUE," and today we introduce its standard offering, "TYPE 50."
The name "DASSAI BLUE" originates from the Japanese saying “The apprentice surpasses the master.” symbolizing the goal of surpassing the original Dassai of Japan. In order to ultimately become a competitor to Dassai in Japan, they continuously experiment and improve in pursuit of brewing the highest quality sake. The brand uses carefully selected Yamada Nishiki rice and employs a 50% polishing rate, utilizing the pure water source from the Hudson Valley in New York for brewing.
“TYPE 50” is the first sake brewed after the New York brewery was completed and officially operational. This sake is not only a commemorative product of the new brewery but also a special limited edition that is definitely worth attention.
