This sake has a subtle yet elegant aroma and a flavor that brings to mind the image of a unicorn. The taste is refreshing and sweet, with a mature and mild taste. The sweetness, acidity, and aroma combine in an indescribable balance, making it a grateful fine sake.

The young brewery workers at Aramasa were split into two groups and challenged each other using the pure rice brewing method with Brewer's Yeast No. 6. The Pink Unicorn was created by Sato Yusuke and Minoru, who used 100% Akita-grown sake rice "Sake Komachi" polished to 40% for their pure rice sake. They used the same tank as the sake that won the gold medal at the 2010 National New Sake Competition, but to win the award with only locally grown rice is extremely rare and precious.

The name means "something that does not exist" and uses contradictory adjectives and fictional words, referencing existing philosophical terminology.
