Its origin dates back to the aftermath of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, created to support the recovery of Japan, the Tohoku region, and Fukushima, while also offering gentle comfort to those affected. The original release was made by reopening and blending multiple “Tenmei” sake whose contents could not be confirmed due to the disaster, followed by re-pasteurization and safety checks before distribution—symbolizing resilience, reconstruction, and a fresh start amid adversity. The 2026 edition is themed around “Junmai,” primarily using sake brewed from rice cultivated in Shinchi Town, Fukushima—where the brewery has partnered with local farmers for over 30 years—along with carefully selected stocks from the brewery. The result is a one-time-only, irreplicable blend. More than just a sake, it is a heartfelt message: a wish that everyone who shares this bottle will find warmth, connection, and hope, and that smiles will naturally emerge in those moments.
