This sake is brewed with Sasanishiki rice grown in Miyagi Prefecture and polished to an astonishing 8.8%, the highest polishing specification ever achieved for Miyakanbai. During fermentation, the moromi was even played vinyl records by artists from ALFA MUSIC, allowing the sake to ferment while surrounded by music. In keeping with the 55th anniversary theme, the brewery placed particular emphasis on enhancing the presence of both aroma and flavor, aiming to create a sake that, like music, can touch the heart and leave a lasting impression.
To commemorate the 55th anniversary of the founding of Japanese pop music label ALFA MUSIC, Miyakanbai, the renowned sake from Osaki, Miyagi Prefecture, created the special commemorative release “ALFA55.” Limited to only 550 bottles worldwide, each bottle comes with its own unique serial number.
The packaging is equally collectible, featuring “Electric Fan Girl,” an artwork by American collage artist Lou Beach, who was active during the 1970s and 1980s and contributed artwork to numerous record releases. The presentation also includes a leather tag engraved with an individual serial number and a specially designed gift box inspired by the history and evolution of ALFA MUSIC, giving every detail—from the sake itself to its presentation—a distinctive musical character. Created exclusively for ALFA MUSIC’s 55th anniversary, this exceptionally rare limited release brings together an extraordinary 8.8% rice polishing ratio, Miyakanbai’s brewing craftsmanship, and the musical world of ALFA MUSIC. Enjoying it alongside classic ALFA MUSIC tracks offers a unique opportunity to experience the interplay of aroma, flavor, and melody that defines this commemorative sake.
