The color is glossy amber. The aroma shows butter toffee, plum jam, grapes, and cinnamon. On the palate, it delivers soft wheat sweetness along with notes of vanilla, citrus, and dark chocolate. The finish lingers with pleasant tannins and a gentle sweetness in perfect balance.
The “Artist Edition” is inspired by the Five Elements—wood, fire, earth, metal, and water—deeply rooted in Japanese life, with original labels designed by artists active in various fields.
This series is planned for limited release only once a year.
This edition’s label was designed by artist Mariko Hirasawa. She explained: “I painted an oak tree growing powerfully from the land of Kagoshima, stretching toward the sky. It symbolizes how whisky, originally born in Europe, now thrives healthily on this soil. At the same time, I wanted this creation to be enjoyed not only by men but also by women, who, like this tree, embody both strength and resilience. I completed the design with gentle tones to reflect that vision.”
