This sake showcases the characteristics of “Ginpu” through the many years of experience and small-batch craftsmanship of Fumigiku Brewery. On the palate it is fresh and refreshing, accompanied by elegant and delicate ginjo aromas. A gentle and refined sweetness can be felt on the tip of the tongue, while the finish remains smooth and well-balanced. The overall profile is clean, refreshing, and easy to drink, making it especially suitable for enjoying in warmer seasons, while expressing the unique “Ginpu” style and charm of Haneya.

In the latest release of the “Haneya Sake Rice Exploration Series,” the brewery once again presents a Junmai Ginjo Namazake brewed with “Ginpu,” a representative sake-brewing rice from Hokkaido. This sake was awarded a Gold Medal in the Junmai Ginjo category at the International Wine Challenge 2025. While Haneya normally brews sake year-round using locally grown rice, the “Sake Rice Exploration Series” was created to further refine brewing techniques by experimenting with outstanding sake rice varieties from across Japan.

“Ginpu,” a sake rice developed in Hokkaido in the year 2000, is known for its large shinpaku (starchy core) and its rounded, gentle flavor profile. It produces sake with rich aromas and a delicate texture, and has now become a highly regarded sake rice used by many breweries across Japan.
