Born from an unexpected connection between the popular manga series “Space Brothers” and Kokuryu Sake Brewing, “KOKURYU AWA Hane -Space Brothers-” is a special collaborative sparkling sake crafted using secondary fermentation in the bottle.

The packaging also incorporates the world of “Space Brothers” in intricate detail. The character “Hane” on the jet-black bottle is accented with a moon motif, and following the trail of footprints as the package is opened reveals a scene of the Nanba brothers looking back at Earth from the Moon. The label is specially crafted using Echizen-ori textile and takes inspiration from the moment Hibito, after becoming the first Japanese astronaut to set foot on the Moon, leaps high into the air to perform a “Moon Jump,” capturing the lightness and dynamic sensation of soaring across the lunar surface.



The continuous stream of delicate bubbles blossoming in the glass symbolizes the celebration and exhilaration surrounding Hibito’s successful Moon landing in 2026 in the story of “Space Brothers.” Combining storytelling, commemorative significance, and Kokuryu’s refined sake craftsmanship, this is an exceptionally limited sparkling sake.
