This shochu is meticulously crafted using the highly acclaimed purple sweet potato variety called 'Ayamurasaki,' resulting in a deep and rich flavor. Even the koji used in the production is made from 'Ayamurasaki.' Unique aromas emanate from the deep purple lees, complemented by the intense sweet potato flavor from using 100% sweet potato koji, providing a new and irresistible experience akin to tasting wine-like fragrances.

Unlike traditional koji made from rice, this distinctive shochu uses koji made from sweet potatoes, and it is 100% sweet potato-based. The unique flavor of 'Ayamurasaki' sweet potatoes is enriched with polyphenolic compounds known as anthocyanins. Due to the full utilization of purple sweet potatoes, the starch content is lower, resulting in a sweet and fragrant taste reminiscent of wine and brandy.
